Major Achievements

1

Formation of 6860 Self Help Groups, 31 Credit Unions, 141 SHGs of persons with disabilities and 35 farm clubs in its 280 operational villages within five civil districts of Kerala State.

Intervenes in seven civil districts of Kerala State bringing changes in the lives of over 125,000 families directly through community based platforms like Self Help Groups.

Assisted 32,300 families for constructing Cost effective and stable houses.

33,000 families have been supported for small scale economic activities and enhanced their livelihood opportunities.

300 poor families are now regularly supported under Family Development Program with a monthly assistance of Rs.950/- for a period of five years. During the past 50 years, more than 24,740 poor families were supported.

Constructed 34000 biogas plants and 28,000 smokeless chulas as part of improving environment and promotion alternative energy sources.

Skill training has been imparted to 4500 women in the coir sector.

More than 6000 families are being supported under decentralized Rabbitry program.

1000 poor children are being supported under Educational Sponsorship program.

More 28,000 families were imparted with entrepreneurship development training under various schemes.

200 persons with mental illness and more than 1400 children with disabilities are supported under community based rehabilitation programs.

More than Rs.480 Cores is distributed to 1, 42,500 members of self help groups affiliated to Welfare Services Ernakulam.

Constructed more than 9000 nos. of Roof Water Harvesting Tanks for people, agencies, institutions affected by scarcity for potable water.

Solar systems were distributed to more than 4750 families as part of propagation of non-conventional energy applications.

Yearly 200 to 450 families are supported under Charity Scheme for housing, treatment, marriage, education of children and livelihood development.

50 destitute are housed in Old Age Home supported by Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment. Over 300 destitute persons are so far provided shelter through this serene home.

Insurance coverage and benefits of nearly 50 Cr. is provided to more than 94,000 people in seven years through various customized schemes.
