The Govenemnt along with civil society organization is working round the clock to contain the virus transmission. The vaccination drive is gathering momentum. As we all know, it has affected all walks of our life and the impoverished section of the community are left in lurch. The health and economic impacts are very deep and intense in our day to life. Volunatry organizations like Sahrudaya in rendering invaluable humanitarian works to wipe out the miseries of the most affected sections of the society through distributions of dry-ration kits, sanitation and hygiene kits, supply of meals, opening of community kitchens, distribution of agricultural produces, providing counseling, assistance for the cremation of people died of Covid-virus etc. I specially thank and appreciate the team of Sahrudaya for the great work they have done during this crisis time. “Chellanam, a coastal village in Ernakulam district is faced with an unprecedented challenge in the wake of Climate change and sea erosion and they are deprived of sea wall. Under the visionary leadership of Ernakulam-Angamaly Archdiocese, Sahrudaya is efficiently fighting the sea erosion through Plastic Sack Challenge and building a sea wall.
