Welfare Services Ernakulam is awarded with the First Green Protocol Award for implementing Green Protocol measures at institutional level among social service societies in Kerala headed by Kerala Social Service Forum under the Supervision of Kerala Catholic Bishops Conference. This award of Green Protocol was sponsored by Fr. Abraham Mutholath Foundation, located at Chicago. This was in commemoration of Laudato Si, an encyclical of Pope Francis. Fr. Jospeh Koluthuvellil, Executive Director of Welfare Services Ernakulam received the first Green Protocol Award and an amount of Rs. 25,000 with an appreciation memento by Mar. Jose Pulickal, Chairman of Kerala Social Service Forum on the occasion of its Annual General body Meeting held at Palai, Kottayam.
Welfare Services Ernakulam is Runner Up for the year 2020 for N.S Hema Memorial Award- 2020 instituted for outstanding NGOs in the Disability Sector in South India. This award is instituted by Association of People with Disability based at Bangalore The award also recognizes remarkable achievements undertaken as part of the corona virus relief initiatives aimed at providing holistic support to affected communities and to the medical fraternity.
In 2015, Welfare Services Ernakulam was recognized as the best Non-governmental organization working for the rehabilitation of the people with disabilities and for promoting their welfare activities. Fr. Paul Cherupilly, the former Executive Director of Welfare Services Ernakulam received the Award from Dr. K.M Muneer, then Minister of Social Justice Department on the day of World disability organized by State Social Justice Department and District Panchayth, Thiruvanthapuram.
Welfare Services Ernakulam was awarded the Ansar Chirayankeezhu Memorial Award-2016 sponsored by Friends of Abhudabi Malayali Samajam held at Abhudabi in 2016. Fr. Paul Cherupilly, former Executive Director of Welfare Services Ernakulam received award worth of Rs.100,000 and appreciation memento from V. Sasi, former Deputy Speaker of Kerala Legislative Assembly and M.A Yosuff Ali, Chairman of Lulu Group of Institutions. Besides, Sahrudaya was provided with Rs. 10 Lakhs for its invaluable contributions for the vulnerable people in the society by Shri. M.A Yosuff Ali.
