Sahrudaya Services Trust is formed under Welfare Services Ernakulam to coordinate various services of micro enterprises provided to the communities. Sahrudaya has been promoting such small scale industries of Self Help Groups for many years. Under the brand name of Sahrudya, many of these enterprises are functioning well today and they serve the people for a better healthy life. The very aim of this institution is to provide good and healthy products to the public and thereby create a market for the products of Self Help Groups. Sahrudaya Services Trust as a coordinating and technical agency helps the new enterprises in their new business ventures and encouraging purely the use of organic products.
Sahrudaya Family Marts- marking its brand in the minds of people in the society by resolving the bottlenecks of general customers and taking new steps in serving the customers by educating people on healthy and local food items and supplying organic items through Sahrudya Family Mart. Sahrudaya as a social work agency, has a vision to encourage organic products and facilitate Self Help Groups to bring uniqueness, and priorities that will add quality customers. In order to achieve this goal, Sahrudaya has already established family marts at various regional offices, and would like to extend its services through farmer’s clubs and associations.
One of the outlets is opened at Ponnurunni and various SHG based products are marketed through these outlets. The main items sold through these outlets are the vegetables collected from farmers in the local villages. The products includes different vegetables, baked and fried items, detergents, candles, oil, bags, meat, honey, silk clothe, consumer goods etc.

Sahrudaya is providing income and employment to many families through its organic production industries. It helps the organization to serve the people with better and quality products for their needs. The products are well marketed and beneficiaries are able to earn a good living from these activities. There are three production unit; Banana Village Mookanoor, Agriculture Unit Karukutty, Champanoor Industrial Unit.
Bee-keeping is a traditional agriculture in India and it is a no-investment profit giving venture in many areas. Kerala has some traditional roots in it and mostly in southern areas of kerala where farmers show their interest in forest-based industry. Honey production is a profitable business and it creates employment. Sahrudya has been facilitating such industries at its beginning and now it undertakes a processing unit at Angamaly which goes smoothely and upgraded nowadays.
Sahrudaya Silk Kendra is located at Chambanoor, Angamaly in the district of Ernakulam. it is one of the leading businesses in the Fabric Manufacturers in the State. Also known for Fabric Manufacturers, Silk Fabric Manufacturers. It was established in the year 2014. Sahrudaya Silk Kendra in Angamaly, Ernakulam is a top player in the category Fabric Manufacturers in the Ernakulam. This well-known establishment acts as a one-stop destination servicing customers both local and from other parts of Ernakulam. Over the course of its journey, this business has established a firm foothold in it’s industry. Sahrudaya is the trade name of organic compost and its sale - Worms sales produced and marketed by Sahrudaya Tech department. It was established in 1991 at Munnamparambu, Karukutty. Sale and installation of Terra cotta and fixed compost units are also working under this department. Two farmers are employed under one supervisor. Wormi wash is also available for sale.
Sahrudaya has long been a promoter in Agricultural Sector and a partner agency of Government and non-governmental organizations to encourage organic farming and initiate farmer welfare programmes as well. Focused interventions are being proposed by an efficient team and dynamic farming systems are practiced periodically. Karukutty organic farming area is commissioned with an aim of encouraging farmers the importance of organic cultivation as well as applying new methodologies in this sector. Banana village is another agricultural spot of Sahrudaya where enormous cultivations are going on like fish folk, tapioca farming etc…
A central level outlet is set up at Ponnurunni for supporting farmers and customers engaged in the agricultural operations and vegetable cultivation with seeds, seedlings, agricultural inputs, farm implements, organic manure etc. The farmers are also provided with necessary support in the farming activities especially in organic farming, manure production, marketing of farm produces etc. Vermi compost and Terra-cotta tanks are also marketed through this outlet.
A plant nursery is opened at Ponnurunni office campus to avail quality plants and seedling different varieties of fruit trees, vegetables, perennial crops etc to the customers including the farmers.
Sahrudaya has set up a Tailoring Unit as an employment generating cum skill training centre at Anjumuri providing regular employment to 05 persons. The unit gets regular work orders from different institutions for stitching uniforms and other work orders from local people. The unit has managed to run a business of Rs.8.70 lakhs during the year.
During the year the unit provided skill training in the basic stitching works and embroidery to 127 women for generating additional sources of income to their families.
