WSE has more than 56 years of experience in the development sector especially in Human and Institution Development Activities, Family and Child Development, Water and Sanitation, Disaster Management, Health & Rehabilitation, Rural Technologies, Housing, Entrepreneurship development etc. at the community level. Over 125,000 families, irrespective of caste, creed or political identities are directly associating with the Society and play a very significant role in its developmental interventions. WSE has been able to promote more than 7000 civil society organizations (SHGs) at the grassroots covering mainly in four civil districts of Kerala which forms as the platforms of the poor people to explore their self-help capacities for their own development.
